Friends of Thorndown Schools
Parents of Thorndown Schools automatically become members of FOTS. FOTS is a group of parents, staff and friends of the Schools who have joined together to form a committee to raise funds for both Thorndown Community Infant School and Thorndown Community Junior School. These funds are equally shared between the Schools for extra equipment, books, computers, furnishings and anything the staff request for the benefit of the children, that cannot be sustained by the tight School budgets. FOTS is a very successful committee. This has only been made possible by the support we receive from parents and the community at our fund-raising events. FOTS hold fund-raisers almost on a monthly basis. These are varied in order to try and cater for everyone’s tastes. These events include Family Discos, Bingo Evenings, a Christmas and Summer Fayre, Quiz Nights and anything else FOTS can think of!
